  1. How Do I sign up to Hypejar?

    Joining Hypejar gives you additional privileges such as following other users, adding and editing products, and adding products to your Jar. Signing up is simple – you can join either with Facebook or with an email account.

    In order to have moderator status, you must have at least a few months of Hypejar experience under your belt. You also need to be an active user that has contributed meaningful content on a regular basis.

Using Hypejar


  1. How do I use the browse page?

    The browse page allows you to scan through thousands of products by category and sub-category.Furthermore, you can filter the products by Popular, Just Released, Releasing Soon/i>, Just Added, and TBA

  2. What can I search for on Hypejar?

    You can search for product names, usernames, various product attributes such as actors, manufacturer, gaming console, artist, author, etc.

  3. How can I add a product to my Jar?

    From a product page, simply click on “Add to Jar”, then name the Jar you want the product to go into, and then click “+” and voila!

Account


  1. What if I forgot my password?

    Not to worry! You can retrieve your username or password on the Log In page. You will receive an email within a few minutes with a step-by-step process on how to recover your information.

  2. How do I change my personal information?

    Personal information can be changed from Your Info tab in the Settings page.

  3. How can I change my email settings?

    Email settings can be changed from the Account tab in the Settings page.

  4. How can I change my notification settings?

    Notification settings can be changed from the Preferences tab in the Settings page.

  5. How do I connect my Facebook account to Hypejar?

    If you did not initially sign-up with a Facebook or Twitter account, but now want to connect it to your Hypejar account, you can do so by going to the Preferences tab in the Settings page.

  6. Can I log-in with a password if I created my account through Facebook or Twitter?

    Yes! Since accounts created via Facebook are not set with a password, you may set one by clicking the Forgot Password link on the login page.

My Profile


  1. Can I customize my profile?

    You can customize what’s shown on your profile in the Your Info tab under the Settings page.

  2. Can I make my profile private?

    Your profile is public by default. However, you can make it private in the Preferences tab in the Settings page.

  3. How do I add a product?

    If you know of a product releasing in the future that is not currently on Hypejar, we encourage you to add it to the database by clicking on the “+” button on the top right of the site.

  4. Why can’t I see the product I just added?

    In order to maintain the integrity of the site, Hypejar requires time to review products added by non-moderators. Once the product is reviewed and deemed appropriate, you will see it on Hypejar.

  5. How do I edit a product?

    Users are encouraged to add to and edit product pages! If you have information regarding a new product, you can make changes by clicking Edit This Section under the product’s Overview.

  6. What happens to the released products?

    Once a product is released, it becomes less visible on Hypejar. It will not appear on the front page, or in the browse pages. However, the product will remain the database. As such, you can still search for it.
